Botha, General Louis. (1862-1919). Born near Greytown, Natal. A former Boer general who, accepting defeat in the Boer War, had risen in South Africa to office as Premier, (1910). After the World War broke out Botha suppressed a rebellion and then conquered German Southwest Africa.
